Yes, you are traveling to North Africa, wooo hooo! You will need to fly into Marrakesh, Menara Airport, unless you are able to teleport... Don't worry, you won't need a visa to enter the country! Upon arrival, in addition to your passport and boarding pass, you will be asked to provide: -Your job title -The address of your hotel or accommodation There is a taxi rank outside the airport, trust us, it will be impossible to miss. Once out of the airport area, if you feel adventurous, you can use InDrive (which is local's version of Uber/Bolt, however they are operating in a "legal grey zone" and local taxi drivers are fighting against them. We have used them a lot and they are much cheaper, but sometime they might ask you to pretend you are their friend, not their customer. Taxis are available throughout the city, but make sure to ask the price first.
Yes, you will need to book accommodation for your time in Marrakesh. Key Dates Arrive: Friday, 20th March 2026 Wedding Day: Saturday, 21st March Post-Wedding Activity: Sunday, 22nd March (we’d love for you to join!) We recommend arriving on the Friday (and not earlier), as it will still be Ramadan and many places may be closed. After the wedding weekend, everything opens up again, so feel free to extend your stay if you wish. You’re welcome to stay anywhere in Marrakesh. However, we suggest the hotels below as they’re closest to the wedding venue: Recommended Hotels / Riads: -Ibis Marrakech Palmeraie (around £40 per night per double room) -Maison Ka (around £60 per night per double room) -Grand Mogador Menara & Spa ( around £90 per night per double room) Recommendation: If you’d like to find the best deals and pair up with others for an Airbnb, let us know and we can add you to a WhatsApp group. Our Wedding Ceremony/Party address is in the Palmeraie area, on an Unnamed Road (and we are not joking), Marrakech, Morocco. The full address will be sent out the day before the wedding, we’d like to keep a little magic in the mystery.
This is of course dependent on your provider, but your data most likely won't work in Morocco or will cost a bomb!. Don’t panic, you can get an eSIM before you arrive! The best provider we have used is Airalo, just follow the simple steps and you’ll have data the moment you land. Make sure you do that before you leave home or you will have to do it with the airport Wifi on arrival. If you decide to stay longer, it's worth buying a local sim.
The local currency in Morocco is the Moroccan Dirham (MAD), and yes, they can drive you a little mad hahaha. Dirhams are a closed currency, meaning you generally can’t buy them outside Morocco. As a conversion reference: 100 MAD is roughly £8/ 10 euros. While many places accept credit and debit cards, it’s still wise to carry some cash, especially for local markets, small vendors and taxis. ATM's are readily available, but the commission is very high. Be careful at the airport: the exchange rates are very high too, so don’t convert more than £30 when you arrive. One of the best exchange offices we found is located at: Rooftop Hotel Ali Rue Moulay Ismail, Marrakech 40000, Morocco Expect a queue, large rate boards, and some of the best rates in town.
Dress the part- Morocco is stylish and modest. Light, breathable clothing that covers your shoulders and knees is ideal when exploring traditional areas or visiting mosques. Swimwear is completely fine at the beach or by the pool. Warm welcomes- Locals are famously hospitable. Expect big smiles, handshakes, and sometimes a hand over the heart, it means “you’re welcome here.” Photos: ask first- Especially in markets or when photographing people. It’s just a sign of respect. Tipping is normal – A small tip (10%) is appreciated in restaurants, taxis, and by hotel staff. Keep a few coins or small notes handy. Haggling is part of the fun! – In the souks (markets), you’re expected to bargain a little. It’s not rude, it’s a game! Smile, stay friendly, and walk away if you’re not into the price.

Grad spaja drevnu povijest s šarenim tradicijama, nevjerojatnom arhitekturom i nezaboravnom hranom. Svaki kutak ovdje odiše životom i karakterom.
