Pura vida!

Clearly, we aren't doing things the traditional way… As we began to plan our wedding one year ago, like most people, we started off with the idea of having a traditional wedding. After combing through dozens of venues throughout Florida and beyond, we excitedly scheduled an appointment to tour our first venue. The outdoor space was charming, but our main takeaway was how standardized everything was. Instinctually, we knew this was not for us. So, we reset and discussed what aspects we felt were truly important in a wedding. We found that we wanted to preserve the intimacy of making our foundational vows to commit to each other without feeling any performative pressure. This led us down a path to elopement! As we got further into planning, we realized there was something missing: our family and friends. We wanted to celebrate with our favorite people, and the plan was not complete without them. And that's how we got here! We decided to make our commitment, go on our honeymoon, and then celebrate with our family and friends in our home in Jacksonville while bringing ~tropical vacation vibes~ back with us from Costa Rica.
