We met on a one off night at a ridiculous concert in Dallas, TX. As luck would have it, our two great friends introduced us that night and needless to say, the laughs and fun brought us together. From the dance moves to drinks at Katy Trail Ice House, we began our love story. Ben has great dance moves, believe it or not, and can really "drop it low." He also loves Mexican food and margaritas so what better way to have a first date than enjoying such things at Mesero. From watching college football to trampoline parks, we bonded over such things as trying to cook cauliflower pizza from scratch, basketball (we were the same number in high school, #22) and lots of date nights, we found ourselves to be boyfriend and girlfriend a couple months later. After a fun-filled St. Patty's party, I remember Cam telling me he loved me while we ate pizza laughing at the nights events. We have had so many great times with one another from celebrating friends weddings, to "Pipe's lakehouse," trying to teach me to ski in Colorado, and many trips to the Woodlands, the memories are endless. This leads us to three and half years later, Ben is navigating Austin, fighting traffic, getting constant text messages, and me making him stop at a run down gas station so I can go to the restroom, all while I have no idea what is about to happen. He tells me, "We are going to look at this famous bridge I studied in Architecture school" before we go have dinner. Little do I know, he has the most beautiful ring tucked into his tiny pants pocket as we walk though an open field near the lake. I can remember it being so quiet and still and it was just him and I in this moment, despite the photographer who was hiding behind a tree. After saying yes, of course, and a surprise dinner with both our families and another huge surprise engagement party, it is safe to say we are ready to get married and celebrate a new season of life together!
