To be honest, neither Sandra and I expected to meet anyone online. We had both tried meeting people in a variety of ways, and nothing ever planned out. Not having much luck, through the advice from friends we both decided to give online dating one more try. Our story began in August of 2014 on match.com. I remember coming across Sandra's profile and finding her attractive and noticing we both had a lot of things in common. I decided to email Sandra and waited for her response. A couple of days later Sandra replied and we exchanged several emails. Sandra and I would spend hours talking on the phone and I remember thinking can Sandra be the one to marry. On August 30, 2014 we decided to finally meet in person. I wanted to keep it casual and let Sandra decide on the location. Sandra decided for us to meet at Mickey's Italian deli in Hermosa beach. The plan was to spend only a couple of hours. However, we immediately realized there was something special between us and we spent the rest of the day together. After about three years and a half of dating, we decided to purchase a house together. I decided to propose to Sandra the day we got the keys to the house. I made Sandra believe that we had a present from the selling agent. Sandra not knowing I placed in the box a balloon that said "Will you marry me" and also placed the ring in the box. I then gift wrapped the box and left the top of the box open. This way when Sandra opened the box the balloon would float. You can see the photo of the proposal in the photo section of the website. You never know how your story is going to start. We didn't expect ours to begin with a profile, but we wouldn't have it any other way! We are so excited to begin planning our wedding and cannot wait for our next adventure.
