Lots to do/see in this area: conservatory of flowers, de Young Museum, California Academy of Science, Japanese Tea Garden, etc. A perk is that they have free street parking around the park.

Golden Gate Park

If it isn't foggy, this is a great place to a get a view of the entire city

Twin Peaks

One of the more popular hikes in San Francisco (this trail has views of the golden gate bridge).

Lands End Trail
