We love your little ones but we kindly ask that you keep them at home unless we’ve specifically included them in your RSVP.
• We don’t honk here in Hawaii. Honking is considered rude here. New York it’s a normal thing, but in Hawaii, it could lead to something bad. Use it if you absolutely need to. Always drive with Aloha. • Please don’t litter! Throw away your trash. Keep our beaches and our aina (land) clean. • Use appropriate sunscreen. Yes! Hawaii has sunscreen that’s safe for our coral reef. You can find it at any Longs or even at the airport! • Don’t touch any animals you may come in contact with, especially endangered animals. Sometimes you’ll be swimming with a Honu (sea turtle) or encounter a Hawaiian monk seal on the beach. Please keep your distance and admire from afar. • Don’t take any rocks or any sand home with you. Leave them on the island. • Immerse yourself in the culture. The Hawaiian culture is so beautiful. Take time to learn and listen to stories from the locals, visit Iolani palace, visit the museums, and eat/try ALL the food. • If a local says stop or don’t do that, listen. It’s probably for your own good.
• Never face your back to the ocean. • If there are signs that say “high tide” or “strong tide” and you know you’re not a strong swimmer, be smart about what you can and cannot handle. • Be respectful of the coral reef and sea creatures you may encounter. • Be careful of jellyfish / Portuguese man-o-war • Be aware of your surroundings.
