Nearly all of us will be flying to Italy from North America, and to put things in perspective - a round trip flight from New York City to Rome has a total flight carbon foot print of 1.02 tonnes of CO2e. www.carbonfootprint.com offers a variety of ways to offset these emissions including small monetary donations to organizations involved in carbon avoidance, clean and renewable energy generation, tree planting and reforestation (E.G. $25.09 through a VCS Tree Buddying project in Kenya offsets nearly 2 tonnes of carbon). Do we need to book rooms?

Answer

No need to book a room, we have reserved both villas on the property. We will be assigning rooms based on your party’s size - number not weight ;) - and noise level and we’ll aim to keep all groups of families and friends near each other. If you have any special requests/needs, please let us know! We’ll let you know your rooms before arrival.

How do we pay?

Answer

We’re paying the venue directly in lump sums so all payments can be made to us. Money can be made via venmo or check. Please ask us directly for our address or usernames.

Meals Included?

Our plan is to provide (either food for your own preparation or group meals) all breakfasts (or brunch) and dinners. You will be on your own for lunch/snacks for two days (June 20 + June 21). We will be sending out a survey a few months ahead of time to gauge what food you may want in your rooms for breakfasts.

Should I bring a wedding gift?

No need to schlep a gift all the way over to Italy! Please see our "Registry" page. We will be traveling for a few weeks after the wedding and want to be light and easy on our travels!

What is the schedule?

6/19: Arrival. Plan on checking in mid-afternoon with enough time to settle in and get ready for an informal Pizza Party! 6/20: We will have breakfast supplies (eggs, yogurt, fruit, coffee, etc.) in each of your apartments when you check in so that you can wake up and eat breakfast at your leisure. Low key day and lunch will be on your own. We have arranged a winery tour at a winery down the road but in general, Ben and I will probably be by the pools during the day. We will have a group dinner off site at Casa Masi in the evening. 6/21: Wedding day! Again, breakfast supplies will be in your room. The morning will probably start with yoga and continue with some relaxation by the pool, etc. Group activities on-site. Lunch will be on your own this day but save room for food as it is DELICIOUS. 6/22: Catered brunch. Outdoor movie in the vineyards with a potluck-style meal in the evening. 6/23: Optional checkout 6/24: Optional checkout

Do I need to rent a car?

As you may have read in our “Travel” tab, renting a car is optional. You can (somewhat) easily get to the venue via public transportation from both Rome and Florence but you may want to rent a car if you want to go off site during the days. What should I wear for the wedding?

Easy! La Dolce Vita meets Mama Mia. Didn’t find that helpful? We want everyone to look nice but don’t want it to look stuffy. Think formal but relaxed, sexy but at ease. Didn't find that helpful? We will most likely walk down the aisle barefoot, Ben will probably not wear a tie, and I will be wearing some sort of wedding dress. Bottom line, we want you feeling comfortable (so that you can eat a lot) and good (so that you feel cute).
