Travel Note
There are numerous international airports in Italy. Due to convenience of flights and costs, your most likely airport of entry/exit will be Rome, Italy at the Leonardo da Vinci-Fiumicino International Airport (FCO). Alternatively, you can fly directly to Florence via Florence Peretola Airport (FLR). Please note that Siena does not have an airport so a train is the most likely method of transportation to get to Siena. The train from Rome to Siena takes roughly 3 hours and the train from Florence to Siena takes roughly 1.5 hours. We politely request that all guests arrive in Siena no later than midday on Tuesday, April 29. If you are flying into Italy via Rome or Florence, we highly recommend arriving in Italy no later than Monday, April 28, so as to allow time to rest and comfortably travel from Rome or Florence. Of course, feel free to arrive earlier and tour Italy. Benjamin & Jean plan to be in Rome from the 25th to 28th April and will travel to Siena on the 28th. AFTER the villa stay, we will return to Siena on the 2nd May for one more night before we head to Florence for three nights after that. If your schedules line up with ours, let us know and we can explore together!
Shuttle
April 29, 2025 2:00 pm
A shuttle will be provided to pickup all Villa guests from Siena. This shuttle will take about 45 minutes to transport us to the Villa. The specific pickup time and location will be updated once confirmed. The same shuttle will be provided after checkout to send everyone to a local train station. We will then catch a train to Florence.
House Or Rental
Our wedding Villa will also be our home for the 3 nights. The villa is well equipped with 3 kitchens, although all lunches and dinners will be provided. The villa has 8 air-conditioned bedrooms, 7 bathrooms and a swimming pool. If you wish to rent a car and travel directly to the villa, please let us know so we can provide the needed details
Travel Note
Please take note that 2025 will be a Jubilee year which is a special year of spiritual renewal and celebration for Catholics that happens once every 25 years. Please expect the main cities of Italy to be busy! Book early if you're heading to these cities or use this as the perfect reason to visit the cities that are less travelled!
