FAQs

YOU'VE GOT QUESTIONS, WE'VE GOT ANSWERS (HOPEFULLY)
Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

It's time to find those suits and ties (bow ties if you're feeling fancy) for the gentleman. For the ladies, we can't wait to see your evening gowns, or a midi- or knee-length cocktail dress would also be appropriate. Please, no Crocs, no Birkenstocks (like the sad attempt at a rhyme?). That being said - when the dance floor opens up you can expect the Bride to be in her comfy dancing shoes, so no judgment will be passed if you bust those out then too!

Question

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

Make sure to plan for Friday afternoon rush-hour traffic! Please arrive no later than 4:30 p.m.

Question

Where should we park?

Answer

Parking at the venue is validated. A staff member of the Doctor's House will greet you to assist. Overnight parking is available at the venue.

Question

Can I über?

Answer

Uber prices to and from the Doctor's House to the Downtown Core of Toronto cost approximately $50.00 to $75.00. If you're staying in Vaughan, the average Uber price is $15.00. There will be someone at the venue who can assist with finding a taxi home if needed.

Question

Where should we go when we arrive?

Answer

The entrance to our wedding (there are multiple buildings on site) is through the main entrance to the Doctor's House. The main entrance can be found from the parking lot on the side facing Islington Avenue.

Question

Is the Venue Indoor or Outdoor?

Answer

Both. The ceremony and reception will be indoors. The cocktail hour will be outdoors (weather permitting). You'll probably want to take some photos on the venue's beautiful grounds.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

YES, we will have a full bar supplying unlimited drinks all night long. There is also a full coffee bar available after dinner and non-alcoholic beverages available all night. Last call will be at 1:00 a.m.

Question

Can I bring a guest/date?

Answer

Due to limited capacity, we will only be able to accommodate those specifically listed out on your invitation. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out!

Question

Can my children come?

Answer

With the exception of those over the age of 12, this is an adults-only ceremony and reception.

Question

Are the ceremony and reception in the same place?

Answer

Yes! Both will take place at the Doctor's House in the Village of Kleinburg, Ontario. The ceremony is located in the Heritage Room (Second Floor) and the reception is in the Great Hall (First Floor).

Question

Does the venue have accessibility accommodations?

Answer

Absolutely! The venue is entirely accessible, with elevators and ramps as required.
