Meet the Wedding Party

We are grateful to have these wonderful people at our sides on our special day!

Alexis Barge

Maid of Honor

The Merry to Elizabeth’s Pippin Alexis bought Elizabeth a blueberry muffin once in High School, and they became best friends immediately (food is important to both of them). Ben can always tell when Elizabeth is on the phone with Alexis (Elizabeth has a voice reserved especially for Alexis). Elizabeth loves that Alexis is the counterbalancing realist to Elizabeth’s unfettered optimist, and that she always gives good advice. Elizabeth loves that Alexis shares the same weird (but honestly hilarious) personality and the fact that Alexis loves unconditionally. Elizabeth and Alexis are basically the same person. Alexis- “I loved co-parenting a [program] child with Elizabeth during her Developmental Psychology class. Remember when (our child) came home late smelling of alcohol? Disappointed. ”

Alexandria Chardavoine

Bridesmaid

The A of EVA Elizabeth’s earliest memory of Alex is in the cold winter of third grade during recess. Together, they would sing and dance to random pop music along with her sister Vicky. Their shared music obsession continued into middle school where they would practice singing and dancing to pop music at Alex’s house (their band name was EVA). Alex is the most trustworthy person that she knows, and Alex has been there for all of Elizabeth’s ups and downs (especially through the random crushes and relationships). Alex is one of the most driven individuals that Elizabeth knows. Elizabeth loves Alex’s sense of self, her motivation, and, of course, her fierce compassion for everyone that she meets. Alex- “I love the fact that we can play COD and yell at random preteens online together.”

Victoria Chardavoine

Bridesmaid

The V of EVA Elizabeth met Vicky along with Alex in the winter of 3rd grade at recess. Vicky was always the “prankster” of the EVA trio, and Elizabeth remembers Vicky calling her in middle school to tell her that she was abducted by aliens. After saying that she didn’t believe her three times, Elizabeth started to think that actually, maybe this did happen (why would she be so persistent?) only to have Vicky finally laugh, say that it was a prank, and hang up. Because of this, Elizabeth says that Vicky is “never serious.” Elizabeth loves that Vicky is always dancing and laughing. She is also very protective and will threaten your enemies with voodoo, so don’t mess with us, enemies. Vicky- “All of my favorite memories of us are incriminating or embarrassing lol.”

Christy Agrawal

Bridesmaid

That Darn Yoshi Elizabeth was scared of Christy when they first met because she gave off a cool, edgy, competitive-hipster vibe. Christy listens to cool music and likes things like poetry and has a good sense of fashion which makes her a hipster. Christy’s Yoshi in the video game Super Smash Bros is the most annoying character, and she wins a lot, so she’s also competitive. Over time, Elizabeth found out that Christy is not one of those competitive-hipsters, but just competitive and a hipster. In addition to these traits, Elizabeth loves that Christy is all about physical and emotional comfort (comfy blankets and tea? Yes), and about fighting to make the world better. Christy- “I'm excited that I will have someone else who will help me make fun of Ben! Truly a sister-in-law!"

Courtney Bien

Bridesmaid

The Superhero Sister Elizabeth’s earliest memory is of her mother giving Courtney a bath in the sink. As sisters growing up, Elizabeth would make Courtney play the role of Superman so she could play the role of Princess in distress. (Elizabeth was the older one, so, what she said went.) As Courtney grew up, she kept the role of protector. She has a strong moral compass and is always ready to fight for the downtrodden against injustice. Elizabeth admires Courtney’s boldness and courage. Courtney is Elizabeth’s opposite in almost every way (artistic, fierce, and full of fire). She can also apply liquid eyeliner like a boss and can kick your butt in apex. Courtney- “I remember when we were little children, and we ran naked through the streets to gift leaves to our neighbors. Crazy times."

Tommy Hoffman

Best Man

Ben’s Partner In Crime Tommy and Ben met in 9th grade at Rhinebeck High School. Tommy and Ben quickly became best friends due to their similar personalities and shared list of favorite activities. Over the years, they bundled their way down many of Catamount’s ski slopes, rode their quads through a lot of muddy swamps chasing coyotes, and created innumerable inner jokes. They also make fun of a lot of society’s silly requirements (like writing blurbs for a wedding website). Tommy is definitely mischievous and rebellious, but he is also very industrious and loves working with his hands. When Tommy and Ben get together, the results are often hilarious and simultaneously endearing. Ben-"My favorite memories with Tommy are of us riding quads together along the power lines in high school."

Ryan Smythe

Groomsman

The Frisky Rapscallion Ben met Ryan in 3rd grade during recess at Poughkeepsie Day School, and they became inseparable friends. Together, they spent many nights binge-watching Top Gear and attending various family vacations. Ryan is a schemer. He is constantly creating hilarious plots in his brain, and one of these plots was getting Elizabeth and Ben to start dating. Elizabeth and Ryan met virtually through Ben’s facebook, and Ryan told Elizabeth to be persistent in pursuing Ben. If it wasn’t for Ryan’s encouragement, they may never have gotten together. Ryan is also witty, nerdy, and a notorious rule-breaker. He’s also very into quidditch. Ask him about his team, The Lost Boys. Ryan-“My favorite memory with Ben is him telling me not to hit on Elizabeth before they even started dating.”

David Buccheri

Groomsman

That Guy from Massachusetts Dave and Ben met their freshman year in their calculus class at Northeastern University. Together, Ben and Dave would go to P.F. Chang’s for “authentic cuisine”. In a lot of ways, Dave is your stereotypical unassuming and laidback guy from Massachusetts, especially when it comes to sports (the Patriots, the Celtics, and the Bruins). If Dave had to be described it one word, that word would be “chill”, but he has a very subtle sarcasm that is surprising to those who don’t personally know him. He also enjoys playing videogames, listening to rap, eating buffalo chicken wraps, and being comfortable. These days, Elizabeth and Ben drag him on hikes in New Hampshire against his will. Dave-“Ben took me skiing and helped me conquer the bunny slope after several wipeouts.”

Rachel Chin

Groomswoman

The Difficult Slowpoke Ben and Rachel were Bio 1 Lab Partners at Northeastern University together. They were both Health Science majors, but both of them switched to Engineering (Ben’s a CivE; Rachel’s a MechE). Rachel has a very quick wit, is a master of sarcasm, and is cooler than you because she’s from New York (yes, the city) (well, actually Long Island, but basically the city.) Rachel’s also always late. She shows up to every event about an hour late no matter what. Ben and Elizabeth have started telling her that events start an hour earlier than they actually do in order to get her to show up on time! Rachel- "I love when Ben pulls me on the flat parts of the mountain, so I don't have to unclip from my snowboard. Also, our AM walks to work our fourth year, Starbucks and everything."

Faizan Qaiyum

Groomsman

The Kind Soul Ben and Faizan met during their freshman year orientation at Northeastern University. Ben (not usually the type to chit-chat with random strangers) approached Faizan, and they became fast friends. Ben, Faizan, and Elizabeth were roommates in Boston for several years. Faizan is optimistic, kind, and forgiving to a fault. He always sees the best in people, and he is always ready to give them second, third, or even fourth chances. It is difficult to find a more genuine person. Faizan-“My most powerful memory with Ben is since Orientation Day: when he approached me first (out of the hundreds of others) and mentioned that I reminded him a lot about his family from his Indian heritage. That’s when I knew he is super genuine, unqiue, and my friend for life.”
