Located behind the Palm Springs Art Museum's north parking lot, this is a moderate two-mile hike with a 900-foot elevation gain ending in an exceptional, picnic tabled-view of the city and valley below. We've done this one a few times and it's favorite for a quick hike with a great view. It's located right in downtown Palm Springs, so you'll be able to grab breakfast right after, we recommend Juniper Table, Farm or Le'Atelier.
This is a casual, two-mile hike amid Palm Springs' historic Agua Caliente tribal grounds. This hike is light to moderate and perfect if you have about 1.5-2 hours.
Tahquitz Canyon is a short drive from the Ace and provides a variety of hikes from moderate to strenuous. Hiking to the Falls will be a bit more strenuous and could take a 2-3 hours.
A great view of Palm Springs for those that would rather skip the hiking.
Palm Springs is known for its modern architecture and art.
A beautiful garden two blocks from the Ace Hotel. It is open from 10 am-4 pm and admission is $5. Say hello to the old tortoise named Frank :)
If you rent a car, we recommend making the 45 minute drive out to Joshua Tree. It is a magical loop full of hikes and winding trails. For leisurely hikes, check out the three-mile 49 Palms Oasis hike or the four-mile Lost Horse Mine & Mountain hike. You'll need to purchase a day pass for $30 at the Visitor Center. Bring lots of water and enjoy!
