Benji and Elisabeth first matched on Hinge, truly a modern day love story. Who sent the first message is still a hotly debated topic to this day but because Elisabeth is the one writing this post you'll get the real story. Benji made the first move and struck up a conversation about their shared careers and shared interests. From both working as PAs to both enjoying an after Church Sunday brunch, the conversations flowed effortlessly. Benji asked Elisabeth out on their first date to Muse paint bar for an afternoon of sipping wine and painting masterpieces, what could be more fun! Little did he know, he signed them up for an advanced painting session. The instructor's opening remarks were, "This is a difficult piece and normally this painting would take an hour and we have 45 minutes. I recommend little to no talking so you do not miss any steps." Perfect for a first date! Despite this challenge they both enjoyed their time and considered it a success. The story of their second date is one for another place and time... but essentially from then on the rest was history. They learned they had some shared mutual friends from work, undergrad, and PA school. They learned their interests aligned in more than just medicine and their faith. They shared numerous adventures, from zooming down mountain sides on skiis to climbing the steep steps of Positano, Italy to Benji surviving his first Lamas family trip to Miami. They have grown together and leaned on one another every step of the way. The adventure they are most excited to embark on together is marriage and beginning the rest of their lives together. And they are so excited to be beginning this journey with you, their friends and family whom they love most in this world!
