“A Love Story in the Making: Join Us on Our Next Chapter”

We met at Hamden High School—Ben was a senior, and Debbie was a freshman. While we didn’t know each other well at first, we shared mutual friends and often found ourselves at the same parties. Fast forward to December 2019, when we reconnected on Facebook. Our first date was on December 23rd, and after a cozy dinner, Ben took Debbie to see Christmas lights. It was that night Debbie knew Ben was someone special. Debbie also told Ben he’d need approval from her fur baby, Gigi—whom Ben was instantly attached to and loved from the start. Just three months into our relationship, COVID-19 hit. Debbie was nervous about the uncertain future. Ben was there with reassuring words: “Don’t worry, I’ll be with you and won’t leave you alone.” We weathered the ups and downs of the pandemic together, even recovering from the virus ourselves and discovering a shared love for Super Mario Brothers. “Through our shared love for Cape Cod summers, family dinners, and watching our nieces and nephews grow, we realized how much we truly cherish our family time—Gigi included, of course. “Unbeknownst to Debbie, this summer’s trip was going to be extra special. Ben, filled with excitement, decided to make the trip a day earlier than planned. With Gigi by his side, he even took video footage of all his ring shopping adventures! On Monday, July 15th, 2024, Ben made Debbie the happiest woman alive. As they walked into the Lobster Boat, Gigi was in her stroller, wearing a handkerchief that read, ‘Will you marry my dad?’ And just like that, the rest became history. “And here we are, ready to start our next chapter together, surrounded by love and support.”
