FAQs

If you have any other questions than the ones listed here, please call or text Benjamin at 702-823-9467.
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

The RSVP cutoff is August 1st. If you have not registered by then, you will need to contact the bride or groom directly to get a seat if at all possible.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

The Tropicana at Laughlin has a block of rooms reserved for this wedding. Considering that the wedding is taking place at the Tropicana, it is highly recommended that you stay there.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Yes, but only if they are properly registered before the event. This means that we have to be notified that they are coming at least a month in advance so they can be registered as well.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

No. This is a child-free event. However, we can make exceptions for well-behaved teenagers, but please notify Ben and/or Carly beforehand to add them to the list.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We are not technically registered anywhere; we have enough things. Instead of gifts, please donate to our GoFundMe so we can have a nice honeymoon! https://gofund.me/ba9c68a0

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

As of this time there are no events scheduled other than the "meet and greet" the night before. However, you are more than welcome to explore the towns of Laughlin and Bullhead in the morning and afternoon before the wedding.

Question

What are the rules for dressing up in costume?

Answer

There are only four basic rules: 1. No masks. We would like to see your face in the wedding photos. 2. Nothing too gory or explicit. This is still a formal event. We don't need to see your guts or other parts hanging out. 3. No political and/or religious figures. The last thing anyone wants to see is some zombie jew or orange ogre. 4. No upstaging the bride. So don't wear anything too complex or show-offy. Don't dress as a bride!

Question

I need help with my costume/I didn't bring one!

Answer

If you need any help with your costume, simply ask a member of the wedding party and there will be someone to help you before or after the ceremony. If you didn't bring a costume, a simple costume may be provided.

Question

I don't like cosplay. It's weird. Can I dress normal?

Answer

While it is highly encouraged, it is not strictly required for guests to come dressed in cosplay or any other sort of costume. If you wish, you may come dressed in formal attire. Just note, you will be the odd one out. Exception: Members of the wedding party are required to wear a costume.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony begins promptly at 3:00 PM and seating is assigned. So it is recommended that you show up at least half an hour to 10 minutes before.

Question

What is the rule on recreational substance use before/during/after the ceremony?

Answer

Unless it is medically necessary, there will be no drug use (or use of other mind-altering substances) permitted at any time before, during, or after the ceremony. If you are caught using, or under the influence, you will be removed from the event. Exception: Alcohol will be available at the wedding reception, but please remain on good behavior. This is a wedding after all.
