K'Far is an Israeli cafe with excellent coffee and sweet and savory pastry options. Can get busy on the weekends but there is an order ahead option for takeout for those with Ben-like patience
Goldie is Anna's favorite casual lunch spot that specializes in falafels. Even though it will be cold you won't regret getting the Tahini Milkshake with your sandwich!

If you trek west over the Schuykill River you can take a 'JAWN't (see what we did there?) through the campus of Anna's alma mater (+slice of Allegro's pizza or a 'Hangover Special' from Buy's food cart for full effect)

We love the Fishtown area and think doing a food and drink crawl up Frankford Ave should start at this German style beerhall that has brunch and slings brews all day. The large backyard stays open in the cold months with fire pits for s'mores roasting.
Continuing up Frankford Ave is another great Israeli style brunch option (do we have a type?). Reservations recommended
City Hall hosts a yearly winter wonderland with holiday topiaries and ice skating rink.
Head to Chinatown and warm up with some soup dumplings
While they're playing SO well they may have a bye this weekend, wild card weekend will span Saturday, Sunday and Monday so you may consider tailgating at 'the Linc' or pulling up a chair at a warm pub to watch 'them Eggles' (we'd go to Cavanaughs and order the wings but Misconduct Tavern and City Tap work too!)
