We are getting Married!

Ben and Amber have crossed paths several times over the past eight years, but didnt really connected until one day when Ben decided to get tattooed by Amber at his mother's request. The two talked for hours without end. When it was time to say goodbye neither wanted to part. So like teenager they stayed up all night for days talking to one another on the phone. In that time they shared their darkest secrets, deepest desires, and began to understand each other without judgment.

The title says it all! After work one day, I decided to take a hot bath before Ben got home. That day, Ben had made a few comments over the phone that had me curious. Was he planning to propose in the near future? Once he arrived, in typical Ben fashion when he has something on his mind, made a b-line for the bathroom. Without setting down his keys or taking off his shoes he burst in the bathroom and said, "So I was thinking, how would you like to get married next September?" Of course I said that I would. We grew together through all the ups and downs, which really made that decision easy. He then proceeded to call both sides of the family to tell them the news. Most importantly he asked for my grandfather's permission. All while sitting on the toilet and smoking a cigarette as I wash my hair. Go figure. We entertained the thought of doing a mock proposal and taking pictures for social media and to tell the story in a more glamorous way, but I like this version much better.
