We're getting married!

Ben and Alexa crossed paths the modern way - on Hinge (the app made to be deleted). They bonded over a story from Alexa's college graduation trip to Italy (a very long story about her wine tour that ended in almost missing the tour bus due to a long line for gelato), as Ben was planning to travel there with his family in the spring. They quickly realized they had lots in common and set up a sushi date at "The Chubby Trout". After hours of conversation, laughter, and Ben impressing Alexa by spilling soy sauce everywhere, they knew they had something special (Alexa was sold when Ben let her take the leftover sushi home). The next few years have consisted of many adventures together, including some things Alexa never thought she'd be into: camping, fishing, and watching fast cars drive around a track. Ben fell in love with Alexa's calming, endearing, adventurous, and warm presence. She was always excited to try something new on their dates. Every day spent together turned into a fun adventure (even if it was a simple Target or Costco run). From their first date in October 2022 to their engagement trip to Starved Rock State Park in April 2025, Alexa and Ben have grown both as individuals and together. They are thrilled to spend their wedding day with all of the people who mean the most to them.
