Benjamin first "met" Abigail when they were just 12, at the church Benji was attending. At the time, Abigail was moving from NY to PA, and her family was searching for their church home. Even so, neither of them remembers the other from that moment. God led them in different directions, until they found their way back to each other at 20. In January 2023, they reconnected at the same church, and by June, they were serving together at VBS. What began as a simple friendship slowly turned into something more. Through summer nights spent with friends, laughing on FaceTime, they found themselves staying on the phone long after everyone else had logged off… just the two of them, talking for hours. Somewhere in those quiet, late-night conversations, their story truly began ...

By July 2023, Abby took a trip to Rehoboth Beach with her friend Gianna. While the girls where on the beach, Gianna asked about Abby’s "friendship" with Benji, and for the first time, Abby admitted to herself that her feelings were growing, even if she didn’t quite know what to do with them yet. On the drive home, their friend group made plans to hang out. As the night came to a close and everyone went their separate ways, Abby gave Benji a ride home. Before getting out of the car, he asked a simple question: “Do you want to keep driving?” That one question turned into many nights of long drives, laughter, and sweet conversations as they got to know each other more deeply. Then, on August 13th, while praying together, something shifted. In that pure, meaningful moment, Benji felt it on his heart to ask Abby to be his girlfriend. She said yes! That night marked the beginning of two and a half years of growing, learning, and falling more in love with each other every single day!

By November 2025, Benji knew it was time to ask Abby to spend forever with him. He sat down with her dad, mom, sister, and even their dog, to ask for their blessing. With full hearts, they said yes ♡ Wanting every detail to feel like her, Benji studied Abby’s Pinterest boards and worked closely with her entire family and their photographer to plan something unforgettable. Together, they created the perfect surprise: a “family photoshoot” that Abby would attend, without Benji. On the day of, Benji played his part flawlessly, pretending to be sick and even leaving his phone at home so nothing would give him away. As Abby arrived at the location on March 27th, with her sister, she had no idea what was waiting for her… and when it all unfolded, she was completely surprised. It was, without a doubt, one of the most special days of their lives ! Now, they’re stepping into this next season with so much joy, grateful, expectant, and surrounded by the people they love most.
