We started talking and quickly realized we had more in common than we expected, including attending the same church and sharing a mutual connection through a close friend. That friend, who I had known from church in Virginia, actually played football and was roommates with Ben all four years of college up in New Jersey. Once we made the connection, we both reached out to him, and he gave us the all-clear. Even before we officially met, we both had a feeling there was something special there, and our first date only confirmed it. On my drive home, I happened to be listening to a song called Tennessee Fan and felt an unexpected connection to it. When I got home, Ben texted me and said, "By the way, we're Tennessee fans now." The rest is history. We are so excited to start our life together <3
