Thanks for making the trip to attend our wedding. There's plenty more to enjoy in the area. We're including a few of our favorite things below.

Our first of many hikes was on the North Fork trail at Clinton Lake, pictured above. We hope you enjoy it was much as we have!

North Fork Trailhead

Discover the beauty of the largest remaining intact prairie grove in the state of Illinois. This is also the place where Henry first told Claire that he loved her on March 24, 2017 (pictured above).

Funks Grove Nature Preserve

We watch movies at this local drive-in as often as we can. In fact, we have a dedicated drive-in kit. Bruno is a fan favorite with the other movie-goers.

Harvest Moon Twin Drive-In Movie Theatre

One of the best running/bikes routes around, this is where Henry and Claire have trained for two half marathons.

Lake of the Woods Forest Preserve

We usually kayak with Bruno (pictured) but whether you paddle or float, this is a great local spot to experience. Fingers crossed you spot an Eagle!

Kickapoo River

Not far from our wedding venue, this small secretive, public retreat is adjacent to the Salt Fork River where we like to swim with Bruno as often we as we can.

Hidden Acres Park

One of our favorite places to hike and explore, and the place where Claire ran her first 5K and 10K with Henry's help and guidance. Pictured is our first family photoshoot after adopting Bruno!

Allerton Park & Retreat Center

Located across the street from our house, we enjoy walks through this little chunk of prairie almost daily. Pictured is Bruno at Meadowbrook next to a barn quilt created by one of our best friends, Travis Schiess.

Meadowbrook Park

Don't miss this local treasure filled with a variety of curated "teaching" gardens and the university's Japan House and gardens. This is the spot where Henry took Claire the first time it snowed after they started dating.

University of Illinois Arboretum

Explore the University of Illinois' flagship campus! Afterward, exit the quad north towards Green Street and walk west to experience the heart of campus life outside of the classroom.
