It means that it is not super formal. Google Kentucky Derby to get some inspiration. Bow ties and hats/fascinators are not required, but encouraged!
There will not be a ceremony or a vow renewal. We did that last year with immediate family (thanks COVID) and now we just want to celebrate with all of our extended family and friends.
Some normal reception things, some not. We will have the Derby on, so get ready to pick your favorite horse. We also will have some yard games, so find some comfy shoes, and other outdoor activities. There will be a DJ and dancing. We also have some surprises up our sleeves!
Put Blue Bell Farms in your phone! But it can be confusing and very dark so you do have options! We will have a bus running from the Drury Inn (off of 70/63) to Blue Bell Farms. The first bus to the reception will leave at 4:00 and the second at 5:00 to get the majority of people out there before the Kentucky Derby. We will also have the bus to take you back to that location in town. You do not need to be staying at the hotel to use the bus and if you enjoy yourself a little too much at the reception please take the bus back in to town and grab an Uber. Your car will be fine in the morning.
