Our wedding dress code is "Black-tie Optional." Traditionally, this means guests are encouraged to wear their formal attire! What does this mean for our wedding? This is your chance this Fall to get fancy. To go elegant. To embrace the old adage, “dressed to the nines.” No that doesn’t mean you need to go buy a tuxedo or a floor length evening gown (but by all means, if that’s on your fashion bucket list: go for it!) Instead, just be inspired by the overall vibe: Imagine a night at the opera. That fancy shmancy gala you saw in a movie. Or that dream you had where you attended the Oscars and had to go on stage and accept your award! Black would be perfect. The dark warm colors of autumn would be grand. Navy, and jewel-tone looks would be fun too. Long story short: if you just want to know what to stay away from: all white is not the look. Keep the pastels and neons for another occasion. And if you have loud prints and patterns craving to see the light of day… save them for your wild Sunday brunch! When in doubt: Classic. Stylish. Fun. Or see what the Google machine recommends!
