Ben transferred to Cherokee County in high school 2002. He was immediately dubbed "Pacey Witter's look-alike". The couple would go to school together but would never be more than friends, sharing a jest here and there via social media at The University of Alabama's (lack of) kicking game over the next nearly 10 years. The couple took separate paths to ultimately come together at the start of football season in 2018 and have been together ever since. Ben has since graduated from The University of Alabama with a Bachelors in Addiction Recovery and is currently pursuing a Masters Degree. Madden is in the 1st Grade at the local elementary school. Tara is currently working at a local jewelry store as well as working as an elder assistant and working with a local sports broadcasting program. The couple is anxiously awaiting to see where God reveals for them to settle into permanently, as the trio is currently living scattered across the state of Alabama

The couple's date before the COVID-19 pandemic rocked everyone's world and schedules. When they chose their date and venue, they thought The Bride's brother would be finished with his collegiate career and they agreed upon two things: 1. They LIVED for fall. 2. Nothing could happen on a UA Game Day. Well. God has a way of chucking at plans and COVID ended up keeping The Bride's brother in school for an extra year as well as hosting his furthest away game of the season in Greenville, SC on October 30th. The couple's wedding day. With the Bride's father coaching high school football and her brother out of Saturday commission, the couple had to act fast. Bride wouldn't go forward without her little brother so the couple decided that they would go ahead and tie the knot with immediate family at the couple's home church before football season took off full swing to make sure her best guy could be there. Could you imagine a more "Ben and Tara" appropriate reaction? Everything juggled around football season. Roll Tide! UWA! Go Dogs! They're looking forward to an un-traditional celebration for the unconventional couple with you all!
