How They Met

October 21, 2016

During Suz's Fall break in senior year at Yale, a dear friend (bridesmaid Marguerite Epstein-Martin) invited her up to her family's cabin to relax and work on her thesis. After Ben's first week working as a trader, a dear friend (groomsman Jack Murphy) invited him up to his girlfriend's family's cabin to party and watch the Cubs win the Pennant. These two different paths converged in Rhinebeck, New York, at the McNally Farm (owned by officiant Ed McNally). Unfortunately, Suz was not so thrilled by Ben's partying ways and Ben didn't want to make it weird by hitting on a random girl.

Second Time's the Charm

June 1, 2017

After Suz graduated, she and Ben ended up at Jack and Marguerite's birthday party in the East Village. Finally, they talked over dinner and had fun dancing the night away at a disco club in Brooklyn. That whole summer, they dated casually and enjoyed getting to know one another.

It's Official!

Finally, Ben and Suz were boyfriend and girlfriend. They basically had a long distance relationship (Ben was in the Lower East Side, Suz was in Bushwick).

Moving in Together... with the Krapf Family

March 16, 2020

Ben and Suz fled the city just before Covid shut everything down. They moved in with Suz's parents and brothers, with little kitty Aura in tow. Despite ~unprecedented times~ they managed to make it through with even more love for one another.

Moving Out Together

August 25, 2021

In Summer 2021, Ben and Suz found a lovely apartment in Hoboken, NJ. With Aura, they started their cozy life together.

Putting a Ring on It

August 6, 2022

Ben plotted with Maid of Honor Alana Rhodin, bridesmaid Megan Hsia, and Suz's family to put together the perfect proposal. At golden hour, he took Suz on their favorite walk from the family boathouse to the scenic overlook from the Knubble and got down on one knee. Ben's dad, Fred, got to witness the proposal, and the rest of both families watched through binoculars from the boathouse dock.
