Nestled in the heart of the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, Borrego Springs is a hidden gem known for its stunning landscapes and rich history. This peaceful desert town later became a retreat for adventurers and artists. Its name, derived from "borrego," the Spanish word for bighorn sheep (can be seen around town!), reflects the area's natural wildlife. Today, Borrego Springs is cherished for its breathtaking night skies, desert blooms, and calming atmosphere, offering a perfect backdrop for those seeking serenity and beauty in nature. Shelby and Ben have grown to love Borrego Springs and hope you will all enjoy it as much as we do. We visit Borrego for weekend vacations, holidays (Thanksgiving, mostly!), and generally to get away from the fast paced city life. It truly is a home away from home for us, and we plan to continue spending time in Borrego for the rest of our lives together. March is an extra special time in Borrego, as wildflower blooms across the Anza-Borrego State Park bring visitors from all over the world. Because of this, March is a very busy time. Shelby and Ben recommend making lodging arrangements sooner than later to plan accordingly. See FAQ for additional details.
