Who can I call with questions the day-of if my questions are not answered below?

What COVID guidelines will you have in place?

Answer

We are requesting that everyone brings a mask with them to the wedding. We will provide individually-packaged water and soda and will also have hand-sanitizer on-site for you to use as you see fit.

What is the dress code?

Answer

We’d love to see everyone dressed up to celebrate, but jeans and a nice shirt are acceptable too… and be sure to wear your dancing shoes!

What time are the ceremony & reception?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 4pm and the reception will follow directly after in the same location. The reception will end at 10 pm (unless you’d like to stay and help us clean up!)

What if I can’t be there the whole time?

Answer

We understand that there may be work or school related conflicts on a Monday, so we are not upset if you cannot be there the whole time. But whether you’re coming late, leaving early, or both, we’d love to have you stop by for as long as you’re able to!

Where are the ceremony & reception being held?

Answer

The ceremony and reception are both being held at the historic Blanton House in Danville, IN (street address: 625 N Washington St, Danville IN, 46122).

Are the ceremony & reception indoor or outdoor?

Answer

Our ceremony and reception will primarily take place outdoors, either in the open-air or under a large, outdoor patio-tent (which will block any rain or snow but will, unfortunately, not block the cold.) Plan for the weather accordingly!

Where do I park?

Answer

There will be signs on-site directing you to park in the grassy area beside the Blanton House. You may do pick-up and drop-off in the gravel driveway, but please do not park there! In case of bad weather, parking may be redirected to the nearby St. Augustine Episcopal church (a 2 minute walk from Blanton House).

What do I do in case of bad weather?

Answer

The show must go on! …but we will move all proceedings into the patio-tent if we need to. This will block any rain or snow but will, unfortunately, not block the cold, so plan for the weather accordingly!

Do you expect gifts?

Answer

Please do not feel pressured to buy us a gift! We have been blessed with so much already. Will there be food and drink?

We will have deserts and pizza for all, as well as soft drinks and water.

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

For those over 21, there will be a cash bar with beer and wine served from 5:30-8:30 (hard spirits are prohibited on-site). Please note that the Blanton House policy is strictly opposed to underaged drinking and we will be monitoring this closely. We also want to be respectful of the beautiful space we have rented and the people who will use it after us, so please monitor your alcohol intake accordingly and drink responsibly.
