Ben and Shannon met at a winery on November 19th, 2021. Shannon was with a few friends at a winery in Bremen, GA, when Ben and one of his best friend walked in to come pick up the girls. Shannon had never met Ben, but had always heard about him from her friends. When they were leaving and about to pay, before Shannon could reach for her purse, she looked over to find Ben paying for her wine flight.... which was not cheap, so we all were very impressed! We went to walk out, and her friends went with Ben's friend, but that left Ben to ride by himself. Shannon got up the courage to say, "Hey, wait, I'll ride with you!" Never in a million years would she have done that! But soooo glad she did! That whole way back to Carrollton, they talked. The next day, while Shannon was at work, she got a text message from a number that was not saved, so she read it, and it was from Ben. He texted saying that he had left his jacket in her car and wanted to know when he could come and get it back. After Shannon got off work, she texted him to let him know that he could come by whenever she got off. He comes by her apartment, and he's all dressed kinda nice, and he casually brings up Hey, are you hungry? Do you wanna go grab a bite to eat? she says Yeah, let's go! We went and got Hibachi Express and brought it to her apartment, and we watched a bunch of movies and spent the whole night talking like we had known each other for years. The next week Shannon went back home in Duluth for Thanksgiving, where she saw her mom and aunt, and said Well, I met a boy last week..... and he checks off all the boxes. We hung out for a few months, and then on February 14th, 2022, he took her out for Valentine's Day dinner and gave her a box and a card. The box was a beautiful necklace, and a sweet card with a sweet message inside the card, and on the back it said, "Will you be my girlfriend?" and the rest is history!
