FAQs

Question

When should I book my accommodations?

Answer

Because our venue, Oz Farm, is in a remote part of the California coast, we highly recommend booking accommodations sooner than later. See our Travel page for great hotel options in the area, and there are also many Airbnbs and VRBOs in the area.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Saturday ceremony/reception dress code: Funky Festive. Festive is the level of dressiness: Dresses, pantsuits, button downs. Suit jackets or long dresses are NOT required, but do please wear if they feel fun! Funky: Bright colors! Funky textures, cool silhouettes. Wear the weird thing in the back of your closet that you never get to wear. Bonus points if it's inspired by the ocean. For shoes, since the ground is gravel in some areas, we'd recommend wearing flat shoes or heels with thick heels. Bring layers as well, as the evenings get cooler. Please do NOT wear pink, the bride and groom will be wearing it :) -------------------------------------------- For onsite folks the rest of the weekend: Casual. Dress as festive as you want.

Question

What weather should I plan for?

Answer

Oz farm is close to the coast so despite being in July, we expect mild daytime temperatures (mid 60's) giving way to cooler night-time temperatures (low 50's). The forecast for Manchester (at time of writing, 7/5) says Friday high 63°/low 52°, Saturday 60°/low 51° Much of our time will be spent outdoors so please consider your comfort and bring layers!

Question

Do you have a gift registry?

Answer

We are aiming to have our registry done in June. That said, we are so grateful that you're coming, and hope that you absolutely do not feel obligated to get us a gift.

Question

Will there be cell service?

Answer

The venue is remote and there is no cell service on site. We highly recommend loading maps for navigation prior to approaching the venue and ensuring necessary communications are taken care of before arrival. Wifi has limited reliability and bandwidth, and will therefore be reserved for critical communication, only.

Question

What's the history of Oz Farm?

Answer

The farm used to be a hippie commune in the 70s. On the farm, they currently grow a mix of vegetables, flowers, and apples for their cider. The farm is off the grid, running primarily on solar power and generators. There are so many cool nooks to explore, from the library lounge to the greenhouse to the redwood grove where our ceremony will be. We highly encourage you to take a break from the party at some point to wander around a bit.
