How We Met: Long story short, we met at work. Long story long, I noticed Rachel right away. She was the most attractive person and way out of my league. Unfortunately, I did not do a thing about starting a relationship with her. Though, as fate would have it, a co-worker informed me that “someone” at work had a crush on me. Without knowing who (though hoping it was her), I was left to do my own detective work. I soon realized Rachel was extra friendly towards me. That is when it hit me, the most beautiful girl had a crush on me. I was amazed. We quickly started talking, texting, and making everyone else completely nauseated. So, I asked her out and thankfully she said yes! The Day of the Engagement: February 12th, Rachel’s birthday, I had planned an extra special birthday gift. I planned a photo shoot with a fancy dinner afterward. Let me tell you, I was a wreck the entire day. I kept asking myself “why did I plan this for the end of the day?”. Rachel could tell I was not quite myself that day but had zero suspicions as to the actual events of the day. We arrived at the location of the photo shoot and I was so nervous. I wanted everything to be perfect just for her. Thankfully, my mom was our photographer for the day and helped me with everything. After taking all the pictures, my mom causally asked, “any other photos you want taken?” and I said, “yeah, just one.” and I got down on one knee. As I was kneeling down, Rachel literally said, “No Way!” I asked and she said YES! Immediately after we called our entire family. Everyone was so excited for us. We went to Papa Vino’s after to celebrate, just the two of us, but I had one more surprise waiting for Rachel. We went back to the house that night and both of our families were there to celebrate our engagement. It was the perfect way to end such an amazing day.
