Grounded in faith, surrounded by love.

We met on Hinge in 2024, though neither of us realized just how connected our lives already were. Meghan had the app downloaded for all of thirty minutes before meeting Ben, unaware they shared friends, faith, and years of overlapping community. Before their first date, Meghan had already planned to attend Ben’s church. The day before they went out, she even led worship at an event there, still unaware Ben attended. She had grown up knowing his pastor and church family through years of service at her parents’ homeless shelter, the Providence Rescue Mission. Looking back, the timing felt unmistakable. Ben opened the conversation by asking about Meghan’s favorite pasta and planned their first date at Costantino’s, unknowingly Meghan’s dream first date spot. From the beginning, it was clear this was different. Less than a week later, it was official. As Ben likes to say, this was Meghan’s Hallmark movie moment. Life quickly filled with shared purpose. Meghan was serving at a women’s emergency homeless shelter, leading worship, and competing in Miss Rhode Island while advocating for the women she cared for at the mission. Ben showed up faithfully, bringing meals, carrying equipment, and staying up late helping her prepare for interviews. Meghan, in turn, supported Ben’s leadership at church, including his weekly Bible study, leading young adults, teaching 3rd-6th grade in Sunday school, and even doing the welcome & announcements during the Sunday services. Before long, they began to lead alongside each other and saw God make not only their lives, but also their ministries, become one. In just one year, they packed in unforgettable memories. Attending CMA Fest, American Idol auditions in Nashville (thanks to Ben’s surprise sign-up), a 3 a.m. hike up Cadillac Mountain to watch the sunrise, Meghan’s first Broadway show, and a trip to Spain with Ben’s family. They began to endlessly plan the places they would go. On November 24th, 2025 in Barcelona, Ben told Meghan he had booked a walking tour and lightly encouraged her to be ready to take many photos (like they always do on their adventures) on the most picturesque "Walking Tour". At their first stop, the Sagrada Família, a hidden photographer captured the moment Ben asked Meghan to become his wife. What followed was an exciting engagement photo session through the city, a surprise seaside day trip to Tossa de Mar, a celebration lunch, pastry shops, a football match, and the unmistakable feeling that this was the beginning of forever. We look forward to seeing the world together, sharing the love of Jesus, building a family, and creating a life rooted in faith, joy, and service. God knew the moment we needed to meet. We are forever grateful.
