Travel

Our venue is in Johns Island, a rural, coastal area just south of the City of Charleston. There is a lot more to explore, so we've broken it down for you! Each of these areas has hotels, but we also recommend checking out the AirBNB and VRBO apps for your stay.

Flight

Charleston International Airport

If you are flying, we recommend flying in and out of Charleston International Airport (CHS).

Travel Note

If you'd rather be in Ben and Meghan's neighborhood...

Park Circle is where you'll want to look! We are walking distance from several restaurants, bars, breweries, and parks. We are working on a hotel block at The Starlight Motor Inn, a renovated 1961 motel. We will update this page when that is available. If that is not your vibe, there are a ton of Airbnbs and VRBOs in Park Circle! This is the route we'd take especially if we wanted to stay with other couples or friends.

Travel Note

If you'd rather be downtown...

We loved living downtown! There are lots of hotels and Airbnbs to choose from.

Travel Note

If you'd rather be near the beach...

There are four main beaches in the Charleston area: 1- Folly Beach is our favorite; it's more of a laid-back, cool, small-waves surfer vibe. Fun bars, good food, cute town! This is also where we got engaged. 2- Sullivan's Island is a close second! Wide beach with soft sand, small to no waves unless the weather is acting up. Also home to some amazing restaurants. A slightly more upscale town. 3- Isle of Palms has a more family-friendly beach town vibe! It's also home to the Windjammer, a fun beach-front bar with live music. 4- Kiawah Island is the closest to the venue (but the farthest from everything else). This is by far the fanciest beach town in the area, as it is a gated community. It is beautiful if this is your vibe!
