Wedding Party

Meet the incredible people in our life who will be helping us say 'I do'

Rene Martinez

Maid of Honor

Megan and I go way back. We met in middle school through tennis and she’s been stuck with me ever since. There’s never a dull moment with us two in the room. From awkward preteen mishaps to heartbreaking loss, Megan and I have been through it all together. Life may have taken us in different directions, but our friendship remains. I am honored to be apart of Megan and Ben’s wedding as the maid of honor and I look forward to seeing their relationship grow.

Damian Zubia

Best Man

I met Ben when we were 5 years old and he was my very first friend. We went to the same elementary school and lived a few blocks away from each other. We grew up in a small town so we always hopped on our bikes, met up, and just rode around the streets for hours. 17-18 years later and I'm so proud of how far he has come as a man and am so happy for his future!

Bridesmaid

I met Megan through tennis at Monterey my freshman year, her junior (7 years ago). She really brought me in as part of the family as her “lil fishy”. She brought so much energy to the team and was always so caring and supportive. We soon became family friends and I would often go to her house after school for hours to play ping pong and hang out. She has always been there for me and has always been a loyal friend. I have never met anyone else like her and I am truly blessed to honestly call her family at this point. She is such a happy presence to be around and I hope that I get the honor to forever be a part of her life. I am so proud of the person she has become. I love you to death Megan, you deserve the best.

Chandler Livingston

Groomsman

When I met Ben at freshman orientation one of the first things he told me was that he wanted to be a chemistry major so he “could blow things up.” At first I was a little scared, but it didn’t take long for me to realize that Ben is a big softy. I remember Ben just about knocking my door down when we lived in the dorms just to tell me about his day. Today, although miles apart, he’ll call me just as often as he used to knock to talk about what’s going on in our lives. That’s one of the best things about Ben, he hasn’t changed much in the past five years— loyal, caring, and goofy as can be. I’m so thankful to have had such a solid buddy by my side, and I can’t wait to be by his on his wedding day.

Bridesmaid

I met Megan in High School and was with her when she met Ben actually! Though life has taken us to different universities, cities and even countries, Megan has also been one of my greatest friends. I'll always have her back through thick and thin and it is such an honor to stand by her side as she says "I do" to the love of her life. You deserve all the love in the world, Megan!

Kevin Heaton

Groomsman

I met Ben and got to know him as one of my closest friends in high school. Through sharing classes and both participating in athletics I really got to know Ben well. However, it was us and another guy Eric being FCA leaders at Dumas High School where I truly learned the character Ben has. The thing I respect most about Ben is he is always himself. He never let's a situation or a crowd change who he is or his morals. Though Ben and I do not spend a ton of times together, we have remained friends through college and up till now. I wish nothing but the best for Ben and Megan. Two people who truly belong together.

Brittnie Shock

Bridesmaid

I have known Meg for over 10 years now from the awkward middle school years, to high school graduation, then college graduation (Wreck ‘Em) and now I get to stand by her when she says “I do!” She and I are pretty much complete opposites and there are some days that I’m like “how are we still friends” but we have made the best memories and I have laughed until I cried with this girl (seriously just watch her dance it’s great!) From choir, tennis, chemistry, sleepovers, football games, stressing at Starbucks, college and so many other memories now we get to add another fun memory so let’s do the dang thang as you say “I do” to Ben!

Jared Armstrong

Groomsman

Ben and I met at Hardin-Simmons University our freshman year of college. We instantly became friends and would frequently drive around Abilene together. Most of the summers we were basically roommates. One of us would constantly spend the night at the other’s house and it was a blast. We have shared many great memories in and outside of school and there will many more great memories in the future.

Hailey Mccall

Bridesmaid

I have known Megan my whole life. Megan and I are cousins. We grew up, played, and shopped together. As we got older, we've had fun traveling to different places and going to concerts. I am honored to be a bridesmaid in Megan's wedding.

Alex Hunt

Groomsman

I know Ben through tennis. I remember seeing him at a high school tournament in Lubbock and he was way too happy! I just thought to myself, "This dude loves tennis way too much!" As teammates at HSU, that love for tennis and life in general rubbed off on myself and several others. It became infectious and that is how Ben and I became great friends.
