You keep calling it "The Party"....isn't this a wedding?
Answer
Yes and no. Yes, we are gathering to celebrate Ben and Madi tying the knot (yay love!) but, no, this won't be a wedding in the traditional sense of the word. We won't be doing an "I do" ceremony, there won't be speeches or first dances, and no white dress. There WILL BE lots of music and dancing, a pizza truck serving up fresh hot pies, local bevs and homemade desserts, some really fun surprise activities, and one of the best views of the Ojai Valley around.

Is there a "dress code"?
Answer
YES, well sort of... Wear what makes you feel most like you! Could be a ball gown, could be shorts & flip flops, whatever makes you feel like you. We want YOU at the party

What will the weather be like?
Answer
During this time of year, it will be anyone's guess. Early summer can often bring "June Gloom" with fog and chilly mornings and evenings. We could also have a 100 degree day of sun and dry heat. Best bet is to bring layers to have on hand throughout the evening. The majority of the party will take place outside, though we will have lots of shade and access to a comfortable indoor environment if needed.

Isn't Thacher a high school? Where are we going?
Answer
Yes! Thacher is a boarding high school (yes, the one with horses) - but it's also where Madi grew up. Her parents have worked at Thacher for 35 years and so Madi (and her siblings) grew up in faculty housing on the campus. In fact, you'll be able to see the home Madi spent the first 16 years of her life in from the party! Thacher has generously offered the use of their gorgeous new dining hall and patio for us to gather in. Upon parking in the front parking lot, you'll follow signs leading you to our first gathering spot for the welcome circle.
