Some stories start with fanfare and others with mystery. Our beginning together is rather basic. But, it did start with a big spark. We met at a bar and grill in Liberty, MO on a Tuesday night in June 2021. I remember walking in and seeing this beautiful woman with striking green eyes and brilliant red hair sitting at a table. Lori remembers seeing a handsome man with a beautiful smile who was energetic and full of life. Our conversation quickly revealed that we had a lot in common and from there we starting building our relationship on those common interests. Both of us had strong feelings about our faith in God and we began attending church together. It was there that our feelings blossomed and we knew God had a plan for us. Both of us had come out of dark times, but "sometimes when you're in a dark place, you think you've been buried, but actually you've been planted" (Christine Caine). We both feel that God had delivered us to one another. With that clarification, I proposed on Christmas Eve 2021 and from there we continue to build our lives together.
