Our first international vacation together was to Europe for Ben's college graduation, and our favorite stop was Mallorca, one of the stunning Balearic Islands off the coast of Barcelona. We loved exploring the historical towns, eating the delicious traditional food, and watching the sunset over the gorgeous beaches. We wanted all of our favorite people to have an opportunity to visit and experience one of our favorite places! Fun fact, the island is home to our favorite tennis player, Rafael Nadal (who may or may not be getting an invite!).
We will have a shuttle transporting guests to and from the venue with stops at the first 2 hotels noted on the "travel" page. Please stay tuned for exact shuttle timing. We highly recommend staying at one of these hotels the night of the wedding if you do not have your own car, as the wedding will be ending late and public transportation options may be very limited. The closest bus stop to the venue is "Sa Foradada" on the 203 line. There is parking available at the venue if you have chosen to rent a car.
Son Marroig is a cliffside estate or "posesió" overlooking the Balearic Sea that now operates as a museum. It is located in the UNESCO world heritage Serra de Tramuntana mountain range and is open to the public during daytime hours. For the purposes of the wedding, we will have access to the outdoor gardens, terrace, and "casa de amor" for the reception. The ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner will take place outdoors and the reception space is indoors.
The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:45 pm. Please arrive early, we recommend targeting a 5 pm arrival. There will be welcome drinks served between 5 and 5:30 pm. Using the shuttle service will ensure you arrive on time. You are welcome to purchase a ticket to explore the museum earlier in the day, but please note that the museum itself closes at 4:30 pm.
Mallorca in October tends to have highs in the mid-70s and lows in the high-50s. It may be a little too chilly for swimming, but perfect for walks on the beach! Please keep the weather in mind when you pack as the ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner will be taking place outdoors (weather permitting)! The dinner service will be after sunset.
Please RSVP on this website no later than July 6, 2025. One person from your party may RSVP for all guests listed on your invitation.
We will not be making a registry--all we hope for from our guests is your presence at our celebration!
