We both saw each other on Tinder in late 2019, swiped right, and it was a match! Shortly after that, Ben moved back to his hometown in Ohio, so we were not able to meet right away. We stayed in touch though, regularly checking in on each other. Ben moved back to Florida in May 2021 and we decided to finally meet in person. We went to First Watch in Land O Lakes. We both thought the other was taller than we expected and we laughed A LOT!

After being friends for a few years, we decided to go to a lightning game in November 2022 for our first official date (at last)! Our original plan was to watch the game at World of Beer, but Ben bought tickets, texted a screenshot of the receipt to Laura, and said "I'll pick you up at 5:30!"

In April 2023, we found out we were expecting our little girl! We were beyond excited and were blessed with a calm pregnancy. Adalynn Jo Cockerham was born December 27th, 2023 at 3:36pm. She is our pride and joy, bringing so much happiness to our lives and our family!

We traveled to Laura’s hometown, Wolverhampton, England, in July 2025. We went on a walk, just the two of us, to the local pub. On the way, we fed ducks along the canal and that is where Ben proposed! It was so perfect!
