Thunderbrook Falls Trail

Check out this 0.8-km out-and-back trail near Killington, Vermont. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 11 min to complete. This is a well-maintained boardwalk to some beautiful falls. This trail connects to the Appalachian Trail, so you have the possibility to go farther. Trail surface: wooden boardwalk with edge barriers or railings; Average trail width: 5 feet with some wider passing spaces; Estimated average grade category: gentle (3% or less).

Deer Leap Overlook Trail

Check out this 3.2-km out-and-back trail near Killington, Vermont. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 1 h 7 min to complete. This is a very popular area for birding, hiking, and snowshoeing, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. The best times to visit this trail are April through November. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash. Begin from the Sherburne Pass Trailhead and cross Route 4 towards the Inn at Long Trail. The Sherburne Pass Trail begins by heading uphill, you will then follow the Appalachian/Long Trail for a short stretch to the Deer Leap Trail. From here there is a wonderful view looking back towards Pico and Killington. Additional parking is available in a smaller lot on the other side of Route 4.

Scenic Gondola

Embark on an unforgettable 1.25-mile journey aboard the K-1 Express Gondola to the summit of Killington Peak. At 4,241 feet, Vermont's second tallest and highest lift-serviced peak offers unparalleled vistas that change with the seasons. As you ascend, watch the landscape unfold beneath you. In summer, lush green forests carpet the mountains. Come autumn, the view transforms into a breathtaking tapestry of reds, oranges, and golds as fall foliage paints the Green Mountains in vibrant hues. At the top, drop by Peak Lodge for refreshments!
