Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Katie Carlson and Ben Weisel
Welcome to Lake Country, we are so excited to have you here! We wanted to share a few of our favorite places for you to explore while you're here!
Historic Downtown Oconomowoc

Historic Downtown Oconomowoc

105 East Wisconsin Avenue, Oconomowoc, WI 53066

Welcome to Oconomowoc, Katie's hometown, with so many quaint places to explore! Your perfect Saturday: Start your day at the Oconomowoc Farmer's Market, then head over to a coffee shop for bite and enjoy it on the boardwalk, take a quick walk around Fowler Lake, grab some lunch and a sweet treat, do some shopping, and head home to get ready for the wedding! Coffee shops: Whelan's, Roots, Fresh Baked Cafe. Walk around the lake: A short, 2 mile walk from downtown Oconomowoc around Fowler Lake. Lunch: Bella Gusto, Crafty Cow, Sobie's. Ice cream, Gelato, Custard: Whelan's ice cream, Golosi's authentic Italian gelato, and the Kiltie Drive-in (5 min drive from downtown) for lunch and custard (cash/check only but so worth it)! Shopping: Fray, The Wood Station Co-op, Homebody, The Well, The Silver Eagle, and Serendipity Home. Dinner: Sobie's, Lago Su Bella, Wine Maniacs, or Twisted Fire. (If you are not from Wisconsin, I insist you order cheese curds at least once while in town.)

Downtown Delafield

Downtown Delafield

610 Milwaukee Street, Delafield, WI 53018

Downtown Delafield is a historic area full of delicious restaurants and small boutiques! I'd absolutely recommend spending an afternoon walking around and checking it out. If you plan to stay at the Delafield Hotel, it's easy to walk from there, otherwise it's just a 10-15 minute drive from Oconomowoc. I'll list a few favorites below: Coffee: Blue Collar Coffee, Well House, Green Door Cafe Breakfast/Brunch: Lumber Inn, Belfre Kitchen Lunch/Dinner (some only open for dinner): Zin, I.d., Belfre Kitchen, Revere's, Il Mito, Angelina's, Contento Shops: Clearwater Outdoor, Element Style, Next Door Boutique, Main St. Boutique, Wingman Gifts + Supply, Bliss Boutique River walk: The boardwalk begins at St. John's Pond, next to the Delafield Fish Hatchery building, and winds along the river over wetland and marsh
