Our Story

We met thanks to a mutual friend (shout out to Bri!) during the early days of COVID. What started as a group dinner with friends quickly turned into a conversation where it felt like we were the only two people at the table. By the end of the night, Ben walked Jordan home, asked her out on an official first date, and then called her from his Uber... just to keep the night going a little longer. Our relationship began in true 2020 fashion. Jordan’s fire escape quickly became our favorite date spot, alongside Central Park picnics and creative ways of exploring a quiet city. Those early months set the tone for a relationship built on adventure and doing life side by side (even if neither of us was ever on time). Things really shifted on our first trip together to Rosemary Beach, FL, a place that would later become a favorite spot for family vacations. Over the next year, our worlds became even more intertwined as we spent time with each other’s families, traveled together, and built something that felt real and lasting. Somewhere along the way, Jordan’s nephews lovingly dubbed Ben “Mr. Ben." From there, the adventures only grew. A simple question from Ben - “If I quit my job, will you travel the country with me?” - sparked a year-long journey living out of Airbnbs and exploring the West Coast. When the road trip came to an end, life slowed down in the best way, and we moved back to the NYC area and now call Hoboken, NJ home. After a year of adventures and settling into home together, Ben knew it was time to ask Jordan to spend forever with him. He worked with his close friend Stephane to design Jordan’s ring and planned their most exciting hike yet. About a mile into the trail, during what Jordan thought was just a water break, Ben got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. What followed was a joyful (and slightly stunned) yes, and, of course, finishing the rest of the hike. We chose Windham because it reflects so much of who we are together: a shared love of hiking, the outdoors, and exploring new places. The mountains are where we feel most ourselves, and we couldn’t imagine a better place to gather the people we love and celebrate this next chapter. We’re so excited to welcome you to Windham for a weekend together in a place that means so much to us.
