Columbia Farmers Market
There's something here for everyone! Fresh flowers, herbs (potted or cut), fresh fruit and vegetables, jellies, soaps, candles, hot coffee, pastries and pies, meats and eggs, cutting boards, and more. We recommend arriving before 9:30am, the parking lot is packed.
Rock Bridge State Park
This was where we went on our first date and where we got engaged! Devil's Ice Box and the associated cave network is a nice respite from the summer heat. The park has many entrances that feature trails through restored prairie or dense forest, depending on where you go.
Grasslands Park
This is a large park in the city that features part of the Missouri Katy Trail and a small children's playground.
Peace Nook
An underground store downtown full of books, fair trade items, and more!
B&B Bagel Company
A great breakfast place, get there early before the baked goods disappear! Ben loves the blueberry knots.
Glenn's Cafe
A tiny but tasty downtown cafe. Favored by the Tucker family.
Flat Branch Pub & Brewing
One of our favorite local restaurants! Jennie loves the pretzel braids with the spinach cheese sauce.
Murry's
An upscale local restaurant featuring jazz music and a revolving door of desserts. It's hard to go wrong with anything on the menu.
Shakespeare's Pizza - South
A local pizza joint that always does well.
Kampai
A small sushi and Japanese cuisine restaurant located downtown. Double check the hours before going, they tend to be very limited.
Jina Yoo's Asian Bistro
A local restaurant that serves Asian cuisine with a twist.
Agave
A yummy local Mexican restaurant.
Las Margaritas Mexican Bar and Grill
Great local Tex-Mex. Three locations in total: avoid the one downtown at all costs, the other two are good.
Sparky's Homemade Ice Cream
A quirky local ice cream joint. Great for the summer heat!

Battlefield Lavender
The largest lavender farm in Missouri! Jennie used to work here. Features fresh and dried lavender, local honey, tea, soaps, salves, arts and crafts, and more!
