Question

Will there be other events to attend on the wedding weekend?

Answer

Yes, there will be a private Welcome Party for all guests the night before the wedding, at 5:30 PM. We are excited to kick off the festivities and get a chance to mingle with everyone before the big day!

Question

What is the dress code for your wedding?

Answer

For the wedding, we suggest beach semi-formal attire. Guys: Think slacks and a button-down shirt. You can also wear a suit jacket or vest, but feel free to forego the tie! Girls: Think lightweight sundresses or maxi dresses. The ceremony and reception will be held outside on covered, solid ground--so you're safe to wear heels! For the rest of the weekend, feel free to wear resort casual attire.

Question

What is the weather like in the area?

Answer

The weather in Riviera Maya in December is mildly warm. The average low is 65 and the average high is 80 for the entire month of December.

Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

We kindly request that you offer a Soft RSVP as soon as possible. This does not commit you to your decision, but helps tremendously with our planning efforts, so we can get a more accurate estimate for accommodations. Once you have made a final decision, or have booked your travel, we ask that you offer a Formal RSVP by September 21. You can RSVP right here on our website by clicking on the RSVP category.

Question

Am I allowed to bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to the location of the wedding, we did not include plus ones on the invitations of unmarried guests. However, if your invitation did not include a plus one and you would like to bring a guest, please text the bride or groom; we are more than happy to include them in the celebration!

Question

Do I have to book through the travel agent?

Answer

No! We are using a travel agent to secure a discounted group rate and ensure we have reserved enough rooms for all the guests. Booking through the travel agents helps our planning efforts--but as always, if you can find a better deal through a third party site, feel free to book it! Just let the bride or groom know, so we can ensure you are included in the headcount!

Question

What day should I get to Mexico?

Answer

We will be arriving Wednesday, December 18th, but know many of you are planning on arriving early or to staying late to make your trip a real vacation. We anticipate the majority of guests will arrive on Wednesday or Thursday prior to the wedding, but when you arrive and how long you stay is completely up to you!

Question

Where are you registered?

Answer

We are so thankful you will be joining us for this celebration of our love. While gifts are not expected, we have registered for a few items we need for our newlywed home. A link to our wedding registry can be found here on our wedding website.

Question

Should I bring a gift to your wedding?

Answer

Since you’re traveling for our wedding, making the trip is a gift in itself — physical gifts are absolutely not necessary! If you do choose to browse our wedding registry, however, any items on the list can be shipped directly to our home address.

Question

Can I stay at a different resort?

Answer

While we would love to have everyone in the same place, we completely understand wanting to stay at a different hotel/resort. If you do plan on staying somewhere else, please make sure to communicate with the bride or groom, so we can still include you in the headcount for the day's festivities.
