Ben & Fang

Details leavesDetails leaves

Wedding Party

Meet the family and friends walking us down the aisle.

Noah Yashinsky

Co-Best Man

Although Noah and Ben have only known each other for only 5 years, their connection on the basketball court spans lifetimes. Outside of basketball, they enjoy talking on the phone (Noah calls Ben daily), grabbing dinner and sipping Snapples.

Elle Woodcock

Maid of Honor

Elle and Fang have been friends since almost before Fang started wearing glasses (when she was seven). Fang was once mistakenly asked if she was adopted by Elle's family on a vacation. Elle lives in Tasmania and is proof that distance doesn't weaken friendships!

Ryan McIsaac Quan-Vie

Co-Best Man

Ben met Ryan through his wife, Krista (also in the bridal party) whom he has known the last 10 years after meeting as counsellors at the YMCA camp. Ryan has been a nice addition to the group, especially in the last few years when he officially reached the legal drinking age.

Krista McIsaac Quan-Vie

Bridesmaid

Krista was the first of Ben's Toronto friends to meet Fang, back in 2009, and is one of the reasons the couple have stayed in Toronto beyond the two years they thought they would be here after New York. Ben, Fang, Krista and Ryan have been on many adventures in the region (Niagara, Cottage country) and hope to go on many more.

Bart Egnal

Groomsman and Brother of the Groom

Bart is Ben’s brother, 8 years his senior. Bart has taught Ben many things over the years, including how to dress like a professional and the importance of savy investing. They have enjoyed countless steak dinners together, and back in the day, far too many TV dinners.

Aditi Maliwal

Bridesmaid

Aditi and Fang have been friends since eighth grade when they had crushes on the same boys (Adam Brody circa 2003). Aditi was one of the first non-New York friends to meet Ben, which was a very big deal, and has come from San Francisco to join the festivities.

Tom Yu

Groomsman and Brother of the Bride

Tom is Fang's older brother. Ben had the pleasure of getting to know Tom during two great trips to Singapore and during Tom’s trip to Toronto. Tom is known amongst many of Fang's friends as the funnier Yu sibling.

Saloni Bhojwani

Bridesmaid

Saloni and Fang have been foolios/friends since fifth grade when they realized they had the same stamina and loathing for activities that vowed to increase said stamina. Nowadays Saloni actually enjoys running in the small suburb of London, UK, but at least they both still love Fang's mum's legendary udon.

Shawl Gill

Groomsman

Shawn and Ben first met in 2003, where they played basketball together at a local court a few times. They didn’t meet again until 2013, when they ran into each other at (surprise!), a basketball court. They’ve been hanging ever since.

Erin Lee

Bridesmaid

Erin and Fang met while working at Anthropologie where customers and staff alike would frequently get the two of them mixed up. Since then, they've travelled to the UK together and bonded over a love of smoosh-face dogs. Erin and Ben's catchphrase for each other is "there's always something"!
