FAQ/Extra Information

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes, we ask that guests wear semi-formal attire to the ceremony, but feel free to bring a change of more comfortable clothes for the reception. Some suggestions for attire are dresses, skirts, blouses, pantsuits, sport coat, dress pants, suits, vests, slacks, etc. Here is a good guide for semi-formal attire: https://www.brides.com/semi-formal-wedding-attire-4800687, and here is a good image for extra guidance if needed https://withjoy.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/semi-formal-outfit-options.png. If you have any questions, please let us know!

Question

Can I take photos?

Answer

We have booked a photographer for the majority of the day. Naomi will be handling photos for the ceremony, and part of the reception. We ask that guests do not take photos during the ceremony, however feel free to take photos at the reception, and scan the QR codes on your tables to add your photos to our virtual album.

Question

Are gifts that are not from the registry accepted?

Answer

Absolutely! Do not feel obligated to give us anything in general, however we appreciate whatever you might want to bring to the wedding from elsewhere, or buy from the registry. There will be a gift table at Delaney ridge along with a guest book to sign.

Question

Is the Ceremony/Reception Indoors or Outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be held inside Broyhill Chapel. We will be doing some photos after the ceremony both inside the Chapel and outside. The reception at Delaney Ridge will be inside, but also has a lovely patio and yard with outdoor heaters and tons of games outside. We suggest bringing a light jacket of some sort as temperatures in April can get cool - especially at night.
