Like many relationships that began over the last few years, we first connected on the dating app, Hinge, in September 2018. Emily was new to the idea and was hesitant at first to meet anyone, including Ben. Because Emily's profile mentioned they had a mutual adulation for the Harry Potter books/movies, Ben certainly had the upper hand on the competition. Perhaps Ben accidentally drank a Felix Felicis one day, as he came across his golden ticket to meeting Emily: 2 tickets to a Harry Potter party/concert at a local concert venue. Unfortunately due to work, Ben would be out of town for this event. Emily mentioned wanting the tickets for her and a friend if he wasn't able to go, and Ben agreed under one condition: they had to meet first. She agreed...to a Monday lunch. Though neither were in a place at the time to take the love journey they are on now, that Monday lunch made a lasting impression on both Ben and Emily. They maintained a friendship for more than a year before they officially started dating in November 2019. The rest, as they say, is history.
