Ben and Emily first met in 2001 at the Otter Lodge. Ben, an avid runner, was there with a running club. Emily, who was not an avid runner at the time, wanted to impress the good looking runner and the two of them decided to plan a running “date.” Well, Emily thought it was a date but Ben, a nice guy, always up for fun liked to go running with others. Over the next 15 years, Ben and Emily’s paths crossed many times. They started seeing each other more frequently at Rochester Young Professional social events where Ben was the photographer. Ben finally sold Emily on joining Midtown Athletic Club after years of trying. A few months later, Ben asked Emily out on a real date. They discovered that they both enjoyed old style video games and continued their first date at Swillburger’s playhouse, a bar and arcade. Emily gave Ben some real competition in Ms. Pacman and kicked his butt in Tetris. They both knew they made a great pair. A little over two years later Ben asked Emily to marry him at that same bar where they had their first date! Ben and Emily could not be happier to be engaged and are so excited to be getting married in May! Looking forward to celebrating with you!
