Yes, we know. Its been a crazy year for all of us. We’re still doing this thing!
The doors open at 5pm and we ask that everyone be seated by 5:55pm. The ceremony will start promptly at 6pm.
There is a large gravel parking lot at the venue at 6021 Twin Bridges Road, Alexandria, LA 71303. Parking is free and we are allowed to leave our vehicles overnight. The venue asks that vehicles be moved by noon the following Sunday.
Please RSVP on the website. We need an accurate headcount, so please let us know if you’ll be coming and how many in your family we can expect. You can also text one of us if that’s easier!
Yes! We’re definitely going to have children at the ceremony and reception. Fair warning though: not all of the music will be PG. You may need to put the kids to bed before it gets ratchet.
The venue has been wonderful and set aside some helpful services to make everyone feel more comfortable! Seating for the reception will probably be much more spread out than you would traditionally expect with outdoor as well as indoor options, masks will be provided and hand sanitizer stations can be found throughout the premises. Please be courteous to the other guests and social distance when possible. Also please avoid using the same cups and plates when refilling!
We love you and would really like to have you at our wedding, but if you have any symptoms you need to stay home and social distance. We’ll understand. Please do not come to the wedding if you are sneezing, coughing, have a fever, or think there's any chance that you are sick.
The plan is to hold the ceremony outdoors in the shade in front of Bayou Haven's beautiful pond. However, this is Louisiana and so we are fully prepared to move the ceremony indoors in the case of inclement weather. There is a wonderful chapel at the venue should we need it. After the ceremony, the reception will be held indoors in the fully climate controlled barn. This is October in Louisiana, so it could be a hot and humid heat wave, freezing cold and raining, or anywhere in between. (very vague, I know!)
Immediately after the ceremony, the bride and groom will leave with the photographer, wedding party, and immediate family for formal portraits. Our guests will walk 50 feet from the ceremony to the barn for the reception. The bar will be open immediately for our guests.
BBQ as well as an assortment of good ole fashioned finger foods, salad and sweets!
Not yet but please feel free to shoot us ideas!
Yes! Beer, wine and two signature cocktails will be available for you to choose from.
We only expect you to bring your smiling faces and a desire to party! We know some people love to help though, and we could use a hand setting up the place. If you want to arrive early or stay late to help out, let us know and we’ll put you on the team!
The safety of our guests is very important to us. If you cannot safely drive home after the reception, we ask that you take an Uber, Lyft, or have a DD take you back to your hotel. We have received permission from the venue for our guests to leave their vehicles in the parking lot overnight and pick them up the next day. We are also planning on having a shuttle to take people from the venue back to hotels from 9:30pm to 10:30pm, but we haven’t been able to finalize this due to COVID. We’ll update information here as we learn more.
The potential exists to have an after party at one of Alexandria's MANY fine drinking establishments within the city (Finnegan's Wake, the Bayou Yacht Club, etc.)
A text message is the best way, but phone calls, emails, or letters work too. We’re happy to answer any questions you have.
