It started at TAFE orientation, we shared looks across the room but we wouldn't get to meet until much later. A year passed and we finally shared a class together; Diana wore a t-shirt she calls "conversation starter tee" so Ben would talk to her. It worked! After lots of texting, we shared our first date at Dolphin Hotel, Surry Hills - where both of us have lived in different points of our lives. From then we shared the first kiss, then the first gelato, the first dinner, the first trip, the first COVID lockdown.. Now we are both ready and excited for a life of many more firsts to come
For the proposal, Ben treated Diana to a birthday lunch at an upscale restaurant called The Epicurean. Little did she know, that wasn't the end of the surprises. After a walk along Barangaroo, he tricked her into a secret Scavenger Hunt. It took the unsuspecting bride-to-be on a trip down memory lane. They revisited the most special locations of their relationship: the house she lived whilst falling in love with him, the place where they had their first breakfast, the restaurant where they shared a very intimate anniversary dinner and so on. The Hunt ended back at their apartment, where all of Diana's most amazing friends had decorated the place to perfection, matching one of her favourite scenes from Friends, when Monica proposed to Chandler. Ben hadn't prepared but managed to come up with the perfect proposal speech on the spot, proving how genuine and caring their feelings for each other are. Diana couldn't even wait for Ben to pop the question and immediately screamed YES! (which the groom thinks was very cute). They will always be thankful for all the people involved; it could not have been more perfect.
