Things To Do

Here's what we would do if visiting for the first time.

Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium

3701 South 10th Street, Omaha, NE 68107
, (402) 733-8400

OUR NUMBER 1 RECOMMENDATION This is our favorite zoo we have been to. You will likely want to spend at least half a day at the zoo, if not longer since it is a larger sized zoo. Kid friendly and a truly wonderful part of Nebraska.

Lincoln Children's Zoo

1222 South 27th Street, Lincoln, NE 68502
, (402) 475-6741

This is a fun and interactive zoo found in Lincoln. This is the zoo Chelsea worked at during high school and college. Make sure to check out the Hive. That's where she spent a majority of her time.

Haymarket

335 North 8th Street, Lincoln, NE 68508
, (402) 435-7496

Shops, restaurants, breweries, and more. It's the fun place to walk around in downtown Lincoln, NE. This is where the Hyatt Place is located.

Sunken Gardens

2600 D Street, Lincoln, NE 68502
, (402) 441-8258

This is a beautiful garden found by the Lincoln Children's Zoo.

Glacial Till Tasting Room

1419 Silver St., Ashland, NE 68003

We really like Glacial Till, but there are others to explore

Lincoln Children's Museum

1420 P Street, Lincoln, NE 68508
, (402) 477-4000

A fun spot to take children!

Holmes Lake Dog Park

3701 S 70th St, Lincoln, NE 68506

If you have brought your dog along, this is a great dog park to let them run around and play.

Morrill Hall: University of Nebraska State Museum

645 N 14th St, Lincoln, NE 68588

This is a natural history museum found on the university campus.

Go Big Red!

One Memorial Stadium Drive, Lincoln, NE 68588
, (402) 472-4224
For all the days along the way
