Shenandoah National Park
Of course, SNP is at the top of the list! There are so many beautiful hikes in the park, but Rose River, Whiteoak Canyon, and Old Rag are some of our favorites. If hiking isn’t your thing, the lodge is beautiful and the drive down Skyline is gorgeous!
Luray Caverns
Another nature activity, except this time underground!

If you’re spending time in the DMV…
- Sightseeing around the DC monuments, Georgetown, The Wharf, and Alexandria - Take a walk around Gravelly Point park (where we got engaged!) - Rent a bike and explore the Arlington Loop (4 beautiful trails in just 15 miles-- world class views of the Washington Monument along the Mount Vernon Trail are our favorite) - Grab a drink at Bronson Bierhall (we fell in love here!) - Eat at Bar Taco (get the pork belly taco!) and/or Barcelona Wine Bar (get the patatas bravas and the red sangria!) - First Down sports bar is across from Bronson and is a no-frills dive bar with cheap drinks, amazing wings, and friendly staff
