We went to the same middle school and then on April 1st 2017 we went to a mutual friends wedding and were able to reconnect from there. At first I don't think either of us thought much of it but, after a month I think that we both realized that was going to be something more.

The day we got engaged was probably the scariest day of Ben's life. Not because he was agreeing to be with my for the rest of our lives, but because this was the day that he was also meeting and spending a week with the Deskin family. He showed up in the Outer Banks in North Carolina in his dress blues to walk into to a house of 28 people and get down on one knee.
